Two pit bulls were apparently really pissed when they mauled and nearly killed a man on a street in New York’s Bronx area.
“It was like a pack of wolves. The dogs were looking for blood,” a witness told the New York Daily News.
The 62-year-old victim was lucky to have survived. He was admitted into a New York hospital and treated for multiple injuries, including severe scars to his right ear, which the dogs nearly bit off.
A second witness said the dogs are familiar, and people in the area are scared of them.
“They’re bad dogs. No one in the neighborhood touches them or pets them,” Mohamed Kaid said. “If they’re on one side of the street, people walk to the other side.”
The dogs will be evaluated by New York’s Department of Health to determine if they should be euthanized.
